Not Manchester Dierk, the ships masts are still up. When you sail to Manchester the masts come down at Eastham (1st. lock on Mersey) and stay down until you return to Eastham.

A regular to Manchester with stone from Penmaenmawr, Capt. Joe Dutton. Went aboard her a few times in 1950/51 with mail and wages when I worked in an agents office in Manchester before I went to sea.

Thanks for that Ron. I have never liked the look of these river passenger vessels. They look very vulnerable, too many windows at water level etc.
