Default GUIDELINE: How to post - starting a new thread/getting a picture into the post

Dear members, this "guideline" was posted by Robbie on the 30th June 2011. Yesterday I`ve been asked how one can put the pictures into a post, maybe this will be of help If you need further help , we are more than willing to assist

How to put a picture into a post

To those of you are familiar with the forum this will be second nature but some of you may need directions so here it goes Just remember don't be afraid to try we can rectify any mistakes you make. You may place up to 5 images in a post.

1 If you are starting a new topic or thread go the category you require and click on "New Thread", located upper left on "the frame". If you are replying to an existing topic click on post reply.

2 Enter a title for your thread/post (this is mandatory for a new thread but not required for a reply to another post) then enter your message in the large message box.

3 Scroll down to additional options and you will see a Manage Attachments button click on it.

4 You will be presented with a pop up as shown below. Firstly browse the image from your computer by clicking on Browse once you have found an image click on the upload button. Once your upload is complete click on close window.

5 Finally you are presented with two options to either submit or preview your post.

If you require any other assistance or would like to see other pictorial guides please to not hesitate do contact me via PM.

Just dicovered, that resizing is no longer necessary, but got no information from our providers, hope it will not be changed again, as many members didn`t like the inconvenience of having to downsize prior to posting. Posted in Announcements too.

Dear Members,
am sorry but I forgot to mention that the images have to be downsized before uploading. Robbie changed the settings last week, now it is possible to upload pictures without a limit in size, but if the size is exceeding 700 KB you get an error message (Database Error)

Derek told me that he´s uploading his images with the size 1500X1125 pixels and never had problems on other forums. I tried it and the difference in quality is amazing. You can downsize your pictures with programs like the free program Fast Stone Resizer, or others....

If you need any help, don`t hesitate to "shout" via PM, VM or email, as we are more than willing be of assistance.......
