Hi Pete, I can still recall having a night at stieitjesstraat (koningshaven) after coming down from cologne and sailing next morning, as soon as we reached the hook he lite his pipe and cleared the wheelhouse within seconds, even though it was flat calm, the smell of st Bruno was just tooo much!!!
Don't know what he would do know with no smoking in pubs couldn't see him outside having a smoke!! Did you know dad from Goldsmith barges when he used to run to Ipswich? Perhaps you may know more about him, that you would like to share as we all really miss him very much |
