Astrid - 1918 IMO 5027792
At Newhaven on 29/8/1978 with fire damage
1918 as dumb inland vessel, engine added in 1924, 192grt G. van Leeuwen, The Hague (....) as WUTA to 1937 Caught fire when 16 miles off Dungeness on 13/07/1977, towed to Newhaven the next day (3 crew lost) Sold in 1978 to Metal Recoveries for service as a dumb barge and thanks to Jaap de Roode for later information, she was rescued and converted to a sail training ship by the 'Astrid Trust' in the U.K. and later found her way to current Dutch owners based at Harlingen.
