AMBER IMO No. 5013820
William Robertson's AMBER, 1499 gross tons, built in 1956 by Ailsa Shipbuilding at Troon. Sold in 1978 and renamed SIMRI - sunk off Sardinia on Christmas Eve 1980 whilst on voyage from La Spezia to Benghazi with cargo of iron.

Good looking coaster and a good company as well. I was on a couple of their ships in the 60's, the Emerald and Amethyst. Happy days.

Sailed on this vessel and spent many days going round to Odda in Norway having loaded in the "Quarries" at Llandulas.
