Hi, I think that the first photo is in Aldrington basin, Shoreham Harbour close to one of the coal hoists of Brighton B power station, with one of the CEGB colliers in the background.

My father was chief on her mid 60's. I sailed on her as a youngster with him in school hols. Capn was from Cornwall I think.
