Default 1945 Steam Tug TID 164 restoration

I thought members might enjoy this video I made this week, aboard the steam tug TID 164, alongside the quay wall at Chatham Historic Dockyard. The tug was built as one of a class of 182 small tugs, for wartime service in the UK and abroad.

I'm planning to make a film or two more, as work progresses:
Best wishes

A fine view of TID 164 awaiting restoration

1946, 54grt,Wm. Pickersgill, Sunderland (291)

From naval use at Chatham to the Medway Maritime Museum in 1974

Renamed HERCULES in 1975, International Towing

Reverted to TID 164 on sale to Martin Stevens in 1978

Now restored and lying on the Medway

(The above text originally appeared on 'Riversea International' some 15 years ago as well as the original 'Coasters Remembered'.

The text was by George & photograph supplied by myself from John Clarkson.)

I have many more TID tugs-if anybody is interested, that is.
