Newhaven,12/5/1976.

Disposal Data:wrecked on Prawle Is 16.12.79 [Par-Velsen, china clay]

Hi Rick - is that ship ahead Rochester Star ? Name rings a bell from the past but can't remember owners etc ? Cheers Gareth

Hi Gareth,
It appears to be the Rochester Star,but no such vessel listed with Mirimar index or Shipsspotting.com.Have done an enhanced scan but not too clear to confirm.
Maybe it's German-going by the flag ? -with a long named port of registration.?

Will search Mirimar for ships that contain the word 'star',but there's over 5903 listed !!

Got it !!- CHICHESTER STAR ,sand dredger regd at Southampton,(makes sense,cos shis on the sand berth.)

The Heye-P did ring a bell in my mind (doesn`t happen too often these days )

Our friend Peter Barc, used to sail on her, did post some exchange from Rick and Peter in the section "This and That - Miscellaneous", saved from the "old" CR
