Wonderful old photograph! I think you will find that this is the veteran BETH, built in Waterhuizen in 1908 as ELSE II; later as HANNA, SILESIA having been lengthened in 1955 to 225 gross tons.

Having another look at the picture the ship does look older that 1950's built. I was going by the information provided with the picture. Maybe so mis-information somewhere. |

Currently some photos on eBay from Woody on the Isle of Wight for sale for the 1957 one so I looked in my old LR book for 1966 for the veteran and found her details!
