M/V ‘Windfjord’ sank in the North Sea in September 2001.
The vessel was loaded with square sawn timber from Sweden, destined for
Great Britain. When the deck cargo shifted the vessel attained a heavy list
causing water ingress in the engine room and subsequently a black out. The
crew was rescued before the vessel sank.
