Watching vessel on AISs yesterday and Friday see she has been doing over 24 knots which is quiet good. Headlines in local paper website Massive Warship Spotted of Ilfracombe this this a headline worthy of the Sun. Still due to return Monday pm in darkness.

I can't believe they would make such a fuss of our little ship.

The word on the ground back at base is hand-over on the 19th, if everything is signed off to satisfaction over the next week. Do'nt forget its a National Holiday on the 17th in the Republic of Ireland (St.Patricks Day) and there is the small matter of the remainaing ships crew being transferred over to Appledore to sail the ship back to the Naval Base.

We'll do our best to get some when she arrives this side in the daylight. Thanks for the info. Interesting times in Appledore, I see the last bits of the Aircraft carrier will leave there soon, and after that you won't have to wait long till you see the third Irish OPV leave the Build Hall.

LE James Joyce Hand-over on the 24th March has been postponed.

Remaining crew were to travel over 22/23rd March in advance but this has been put on hold until further notice.

Possible new dates being considered for next week and you may see the ship sail for the Irish Naval Base for the Easter Weekend 3/4/5/6th April.
