thanks for your reply, but guess their is a misunderstanding ...
I was trained as shipping agents by Otto A. Müller at Hamburg, got no connection with Metcalf or others... I reposted for old members their "shiplist" after our big crash,so can be that the misunderstanding started there If you post your ships in the section "Ships I`ve sailed on" am sure that some old shipmates will be found or posting by themselves....

My interests lie mainly with Metcalf Coasters. I was amazed to read that you had sailed on many of them especially the older ones.My father was engineer with Metcalfs early 60's till early 70's. Myself and my brother used to spend our summer holidays sailing on them as this was company policy in them days. I have very fond memories of this even though we were only young kids at the time. My favourite was Daniel, with Michael close second. Did not like Marian, was always seasick on her !
Looking forward to hearing any stories / articles on Metcalf on this great site.What was your favourite Metcalf ?
