Default Chris Cheetham

It has just come to my attention that Mr Chris Cheetham of Teignmouth Devon died on Friday morning 11th January 2013.
Chris had been ill for some time now.
For those that remember him and his Books. The days when he worked in Agencies in Teignmouth and Exmouth, lloyds in London and Fairplay Offices.
RIP old Friend.

Very sad news, I had some correspondence with Chris when he was running his fotopic website but lost touch when that all folded.

I still have some of his Sea-River books, very useful in their time.

Sad news indeed. Chris was a valued work colleague and friend for many years - generous with his knowledge and time to all. Always a gentleman and an unquestioned expert in his field of low air draught ships.

Hard to think that he has left us.

Sleep well old friend

Sad news indeed. I got in contact just after the launch of his first book somewhere in the 80's and we had a lot of correspondence over the years. Because of my job, engineer in shipbuilding, I could supply him a lot news, plans and pics and so did Chris from his side. Met him and Andrea several times when they were in Holland and I will always remember them as very lovely people. I knew he was ill for a long time and our last contact was in May and that made me worry a lot of times because there came no sign on my mail. And then this sad news. I can say that a lot of people have lost a good friend.
R.I.P. Chris
