To all coastermen. Just to let you know that 'turk' passed away today. I will pass on any funeral dates when i know more.
He will be missed.

i will never forget when me n turk were on the delphi and went to a garden center in dordrect and he baught a bonsai tree he used to spray it every day in his cabin and look after it like a child !! and one day he went alongside a berth rather hard !! and after we tied up i went to get customs papers for him from his cabin and all the leaves from this bonsai tree had fell off Ha Ha so i went to the wheelhouse and asked him if bonsai trees had seasons ??? *#^K you talking about stalk he said.well i said it must be the bonsais Autum season because all the leaves had fell off Ha Ha he went running down the stairs to his cabin cursing me saying if this is a wind up basil !!!!! i couldnt stop laughing

Default Turk's funeral and wake

The funeral is to be on Friday 15 November at 15:45 at the new Seven Hills Crematorium, Felixtowe Road, Nacton, Ipswich IP10 0DQ, and then immediately afterwards at the (recently re-opened) Ship Inn at Levington,
IP10 0LQ.
Hope as many as possible can attend...

I think that I can speak for most of the people who attended that Pauls funeral was a very good send off. It appears that Paul himself chose most of the contents and who else but him would think having of having the closing song as the curtains closed on his coffin ...... Baby You Can Light My Fire by the Doors. RIP mate, you certainly were a character to the very end.
